Current Prayer Needs Monthly Prayer Letter |
The following prayer points have been extracted from the latest Praise and Prayer Calendar, which is produced bi-monthly and issued with the Skywaves magazine. 1Praise God for the celebrations FEBC has had over recent months. It is 60 years since the first radio broadcast went out from Manila, and 50 years since FEBC Hong Kong began producing programmes.2Pray for our missionaries:David and Jan Bayliss - commencing their ministry with the International Office in Singapore. Pray for their transition to a new home and work environment. Chris and Marlene Cooper - at the International Office. Pray for Chris as he travels extensively, and for Marlene and the boys at home. Chris and Pieta McLean - Pray for planning and direction for their future work and ministry, and for Pieta's health during her pregnancy. Larry and Barbara Podmore - in Mongolia. Pray for a quick adjustment to the climate and diet, and the development of good working relationships. John and Remy Tan - in Manila. Pray for John as he continues to seek new methods for providing better technical support. David and Janice Zheng - working for FEBC Hong Kong from Sydney. Pray for wisdom and attractiveness of presentation for the gospel message. 3Pray that FEBC broadcasts during the Beijing Olympics will draw new listeners to the programmes.4ChinaAs recovery work continues in southwest China after the earthquake, pray that listeners to FEBC programmes will be challenged to remain strong in their faith in spite of their circumstances. FEBC Chinese Ministries, California, has an internet ministry which offers audio delivery of programmes. Pray for funding to enable this kind of service to continue. 5Pray for the staff and ministries of FEBC Japan. Pray that through the programmes they prepare the light and power of God's truth will offer hope and true substance within that nation. Pray for the four new programmes launched in April in Japan and for the two new stations in Korea.6Praise God for the FEBC Australia Council. May God equip them with the necessary skills for this ministry and direct their deliberations so that His name will be glorified.7Pray for the listeners who tune into Gaweylon (Good News) that is broadcast into Tibet. To supplement the programme, gospel CDs, health and Tibetan culture programmes have also been prepared and distributed. Pray for God's loving impact at this time when much media attention is on Tibet.8Pray for continued support and funding for the ministry of FEBC as we seek to take Christ to the world by radio. Praise God for His faithful provision and pray for a developing support base.9FEBC IndonesiaPraise God for the effective influence of the Heartline programme in Indonesia. Pray that producers will stay relevant to their listeners' daily lives and needs. Pray for FEBC Indonesia's Christian Spiritual Centre construction project. Pray that God will use the centre to serve the community and spread the gospel truth. 10Continue to pray for the staff of Feba Zimbabwe, as they broadcast the gospel of hope into a country that continues to face severe economic and political hardship.11FEBC RussiaPraise God for Maria, an FEBC programmer in Moscow, as many intellectual listeners have become Christians through her broadcasts and now attend evangelical churches. Listener response shows that FEBC broadcasts are popular among many young Russians. Pray for programmes that specifically deal with issues facing the youth. Pray for the ministry to the Tartas, that many will hear the good news and accept Jesus as Lord. 12Pray for all FEBC national staff and missionaries in studios and on transmission sites. Many programmers work in remote and sometimes secret studios. Pray that they will experience God's grace as they serve Him daily.13Pray for FEBC Taiwan's Program Director, Garth, who has written a broadcasting play for the Olympics featuring the story of Eric Liddell. Pray for a positive impact on listeners.14Pray for Samoeun, FEBCambodia Director, and her team. Praise God for six years of broadcasting and over 16 hours of daily programming. Pray that the transmitter will be able to be repaired so that it will be totally reliable.15Praise God for the many seeds of the gospel that have been sown this month throughout the world via FEBC broadcasts. Pray that many people will continue to be drawn into God's Kingdom through this ministry. |
