Pakistan Update

Christmas & New Year radio in Pakistan

This year God opened some new opportunities for Christmas Christian radio transmission in Pakistan. In fact, some calculated that almost a third of the area of Pakistan was open to the airing of our Christmas programs.

Feba Pakistan’s (FEBC's sister mission) pre-recorded half-hour Christmas program was heard on many stations. From a listener: “Your programme is very sweet. I am listening for the first time. Happy Christmas to you and your all team members.”  They received 63 messages and some calls. By the Grace of God everything went well.

In view of unrest locally in connection with the blasphemy law, it was felt unwise to proceed with the planned live transmission from one station - instead a pre-recoded programme was aired.

Pakistan relief camp work continues

Last week, Feba Pakistan (FEBC's sister mission) travelled to a flood relief camp in Punjab Province to help distribute relief packs to families there.

Working with a local aid agency at the camp during this one-day visit, they distributed radios (100 funded by Feba and a further 80 funded by other partners) to over 200 family groups. They also distributed blankets and clothing, and took medics with them, dispensing medicines to over 300 individuals.
