Muslim Outreach: Bringing life to followers of Allah
Twenty million Muslims live in Russia, while more than thirty million live in the former Soviet Union. In an unprecedented effort FEBC Russian Ministries is producing dozens of new programs geared to reach Muslims for Christ. Especially effective at changing hearts is testimonies of former Muslims.
FEBC Russia recently recorded the story of a former Muslim cleric from Uzbekistan. He used to bless and counsel Muslim terrorists. Then, after a miraculous healing, he turned to Christ. His entire clan followed him. Answering a question about what it means to experience the grace of God, he smiled and said that living every day is the result of God’s grace.
'We have rockets flying over our yard all the time. There are people who are ready to kill us—I know them. But by God’s grace we’re not only alive, we are also able to preach the Good News to many,'
he responded.
Testimonies like this change lives.
Millions of Muslims are looking for answers; and through FEBC broadcasts we provide not only evidence of Christ’s love, but also stories of His life manifest in the lives of people just like them.
Sadyk, a 15-year-old boy from Azerbajan wrote to us: “My parents do not believe in Jesus. We live in a Muslim country and it’s expected that we all should be Muslims. But I listened to your programs and gave my life to Jesus. I began believing in Jesus and loving Him. I found other Christians and they gave me a Bible. My parents confiscated it from me when they found out that I was reading it. But I am praying for them, and so are my friends. I am expecting a miracle; I know that God loves them, too. Amen.”
Amen to that. God loves all those who call themselves Muslim. Most of them are simply cultural Muslims—believing in a religion because it’s a part of their tradition—but when they receive a touch from the Lord, they understand that Jesus is the Source of Life and follow Him despite persecution and threats of death.
