Ministry to Pakistan

You would have seen on the news the devastation that has hit areas of Pakistan through flooding. Not only are our hearts and prayers reaching out to these people - but through your support and our sister organisation Feba, God's love is being made known. For many people their only contact with the outside world, and the hope they need to survive, is through broadcasts heard on shortwave radios.Feba broadcasts of help and hope are being sent out and being heard.

In Australia we don’t tend to think much of shortwave these days – yet in areas of the Middle East, Africa and Southern Asia shortwave broadcasts are vital. Limited by income, remote location or imposed religious and political restrictions, people in these areas just don’t have the access to many of the different media choices that the rest of the world enjoys. But shortwave radio, that can span thousands of miles over mountains and across borders, can reach these people with the message of God’s love. A message that is coming to them in their heart language, their own indigenous tongue.

A listener in Pakistan wrote recently, ‘ I listened to Feba Radio Transmission with keen interest, I was so impressed that there is another religion that proclaim righteousness and morality. I am so anxious  to know about teachings of Christ, I need solid guidance in this regard so that I could walk on right Way.’

Please use the television news bulletins as a prompt -  wach time you see a story about Pakistan, please pause and pray for the shortwave broadcasts beamed into that country. This may be the only way they can hear about Jesus.
