God's Shining Glory

A team of minority program staff from FEBC Thailand were asked to visit a home in the mountains. When they arrived, just on dusk, the owner of the house ran outside in a state of bewilderment. He said," Just before you came, a bright light which I can only describe like the fresh rising sun came into our house and we didn't know what it was, or the meaning of it. Now as you are arriving, the five people in your vehicle have this same bright light shining all around you. We could see you clearly even from a distance. (The vehicle had dark film on the windows to stop the tropical sun.)

The programmer spoke many things of the gospel with the man till about midnight and he chose to become a follower of Christ. On the Sunday they had a worship time in his home with his mother, two sisters and two children.

The wife of this man had run off into the fields on Saturday and was going to leave her family. She was a Christian in her youth who married a non-believer and then lived a very ungodly life. The team prayed for this family situation too.

The programmer was also able to visit and talk with the village headman and others. The team explained to the new believer how to use a radio and left one there for them to hear the daily programs. On Monday the man called to say that his wife had repented, apologised to him and her mother-in-law and had come back to Christ and returned to their home.

Praise the Lord for His shining glory in reaching new listeners for His Kingdom!
